How to describe the cut you want
Bring one or two photos on your phone. It sounds obvious, and it is still the single thing that prevents most misunderstandings, because "short on the sides" means five different lengths to five different people. A photo settles it in two seconds. Beyond that, three words cover most of it: how short the sides go, whether you want a fade (a gradual blend instead of a hard change in length), and whether you want the hairline squared off with a line-up. If you are not sure, say what you do for work and how you usually wear it — a barber can read the rest from your growth pattern.
What it costs
The prices published on the homepage are straightforward: a haircut is $30, a fade is a $5 add-on on the same card, eyebrow trim and razor shaping is $10, and a beard trim is +$10 with a haircut. If you are stacking services, the packages are usually the cheaper route: Silver $40 (haircut plus brows), Gold $45 (haircut plus beard) and Platinum $50 (all three). Payment is Tap to Pay, Apple Pay or cash. Nothing gets added at the chair unless you ask for it.
Small things that make it go well
Come with your hair dry and unstyled if you can — product and gel hide the real shape. Speak up while the cut is happening rather than at the end; adjusting a guard length mid-cut is easy, adding hair back is not. And if you like the result, remember what you asked for, or take a photo yourself. Next time it is one sentence.
